PJ Harvey has been added to the line-up for this year's Electric Picnic music festival.

Harvey has only two shows currently scheduled for this summer and she promises to delve into her back catalogue as well as previewing some new songs.

Since the release of 'Dry' in 1992, Harvey has released a series of acclaimed albums, including 'To Bring You My Love' and the Mercury Award winning 'Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea'.

Her latest release is a live DVD entitled 'Please Leave Quietly'.

Richard Hawley and Liam Frost are also among the newcomers to this year's Electric Picnic line-up.

Electric Picnic, Ireland's boutique music festival, takes place over three days, from 1 to 3 September.

Basement Jaxx, Massive Attack, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Groove Armada, Antony and the Johnsons, Gnarls Barkley are among the acts that will perform across seven stages.

Tickets for the festival cost €175, including camping, and are available from Ticketmaster outlets.
