Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has said that the band's eagerly-awaited second album will see them look more to American influences than British ones.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Flowers said: "English rock is great but it's forced me to listen to American music to see what I was missing."

The singer said Bruce Springsteen's 'Thunder Road' and Tom Petty were influences.

The band will go into the studio on 15 February with producers Flood and Alan Moulder to begin recording the album.
