Actor Christian Slater is to have groping charges against him dismissed, on condition that he stays out of trouble for six months.
Assistant District Attorney Vanessa Puzio told Slater at a hearing in Manhattan Criminal Court that all charges against him would be dropped if he did not get re-arrested in the next six months.
Slater faced charges of forcibly touching a woman, sexual abuse in the third degree and disorderly conduct. He was arrested in May of this year after a woman accused him of groping her on a street in Manhattan.
At an earlier hearing the actor turned down a prosecution offer of three days community service to plead guilty to the charges.
Slater's attorney, Eric Franz, said: "The case is dismissed and we are very pleased with the outcome. It was everybody's decision that it was the appropriate resolution."
