Singer Courtney Love has pleaded not guilty to an assault charge arising from an incident in April in which she is alleged to have thrown a whiskey bottle in the face of a woman at the Los Angeles home of her former boyfriend.
Love made the not guilty plea yesterday after she was arraigned on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. She was ordered to stand trial after a preliminary hearing last month.
She is free on bail pending trial.
Last week in New York Love pleaded guilty and was fined for disorderly conduct for hitting a man on the head with a microphone in a nightclub.
She is currently awaiting trial on two drug charges.
