Iron Maiden are set to release a new double DVD retrospective on 8 November.
'The History of Iron Maiden - Part 1; The Early Days' will feature archive material following the band's five-year journey from the pubs of London's East End to the arenas of the world.
The first DVD features nearly two hours of live shows, including the band's first concert video, 'Live at the Rainbow', from 1980 and gigs from London and Dortmund, which are now available in their entirety for the first time.
The second DVD features the 90-minute documentary 'The Early Days', a 30-minute documentary shown by London Weekend Television in 1980 on the rise of Heavy Metal, restored footage of a gig by the band in a London pub in 1980 and TV appearances on 'Top of the Pops'.
Iron Maiden are currently planning festival and stadium shows for next summer, during which they will play some of the 'Early Days' material and link the look and feel of the stage set to the band's beginnings.
Another DVD covering the years 1984 through to 1987 is also in the pipeline.
