Avril Lavigne, Lenny Kravitz and Macy Gray are among the artists who will appear on 'Unity', the official album of the 2004 Olympic Games.

Billboard reports that Lavigne has recorded a version of Bob Dylan's 'Knocking on Heaven's Door', with Kravitz joining Kadim Al Sahir on the track 'We Want Peace' and Gray teaming up with Keziah Jones on 'Oh Yeah'.

The album also features Sting, Destiny's Child, Moby, Public Enemy and Brian Eno, with all the songs using peace and harmony as themes.

'Unity' will be released on 10 August, with proceeds going to UNICEF and record label EMI also pledging a minimum $180,000 to the fight against HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.
