PJ Harvey has announced details of her seventh album, 'Uh Hu Her', to be released by Island Records at the end of May.

According to the Drowned In Sound music website, the album will be preceded by a single entitled 'The Letter'.

The album was written, performed and produced by Harvey, who worked with Head on recording and mixing duties.

Long time collaborator Rob Ellis played drums and percussion and Harvey played all other instruments.

Harvey will be appearing at this year's OXEGEN festival at Punchestown Racecourse in July.
