Nobel Prize winning poet Seamus Heaney will read a poem by Bertolt Brecht at the UK national Holocaust commemoration in Belfast today.
Hundreds of people are expected to attend the 60-minute ceremony, which will take place at the Waterfront Hall.
Holocaust survivor Gena Turgel will read a short extract from her book 'I Light a Candle'.
Belfast is the fourth city to host the Holocaust Memorial Day since its inauguration in London in 2001.
The city has hosted a series of events in the run up to the commemoration, including lectures, exhibitions and screenings.
