REM have posted an anti-war song on their official website.
The track is called 'The Final Straw' and was played for the first time last weekend at an instore show in Vancouver, Canada.
REM frontman Michael Stipe told the audience at the gig that he and his fellow bandmates were praying for all those involved in the war.
REM are the latest band to record a song in protest at the war and follow the likes of The Beastie Boys and Zack de la Rocha and DJ Shadow.
Lenny Kravitz has also recorded an anti-war track, 'We Want Peace', with Iraqi singer Kadim Al Sahir; it was posted online yesterday.
