From here to eternity - author Elif Shafak talks to RTÉ Arena

There are writers who tell us stories…and then, there are writers who can retell our own stories, such is the impact their words have on how we see this world and our place in it.

Elif Shafak is one of those writers.

She has written in both Turkish and English - has been translated into almost 60 languages, and books span East and West, speak for the silenced, and in her most recent novel There Are Rivers in the Sky she succeeds where many fail – in engaging a large readership with the climate crisis.

She was recently in Ireland for the 29th International Literature Festival Dublin and she spoke to Rick O'Shea for RTÉ Arena - listen above, and listen to more from Arena here.
