EVENT: OUR PLACE IN SPACE

Swing by Saturn, venture up to Venus and jog on down to Jupiter all before sunset! Centred around an epic scale model of the solar system designed by acclaimed artist Oliver Jeffers with scientist Professor Stephen Smartt and a creative team led by the Nerve Centre, Our Place in Space is a three-dimensional 10K sculpture trail that will animate Derry's riverside for the next four weeks - Jeffers introduces the project on RTÉ Arena below (In Derry from April 22nd, with a tour to follow - find out more here)

FESTIVAL: MUSIC CURRENT LIVE

The essential contemporary music festival returns from its Covid slumber and moves into a brand new home (Project Arts Centre) for its 2022 edition, with five days of concerts, workshops and panel discussions, showcasing some of the most adventurous artists in homegrown and international contemporary and electronic music today, many performing in Ireland for the very first time (19 – 23 April at Project Arts Centre, Dublin - find out more here)

THEATRE: CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

The late, great Maeve Binchy's classic novel has already been adapted as a much-loved 1995 movie, now Little Gem author Elaine Murphy adapts Binchy's coming-of-age tale for the stage, with a cast that include Roseanna Purcell (as Benny), Juliette Crosbie (as Nan) and Aisling Kearns (as Eve) - Maeve's husband Gordon Snell joined Brendan O'Connor in studio ahead of opening night (at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin from 20 April – find out more here)
