'Join us and sing, dance and throw off the long dark winters of the past few years...' Artistic Director Karen Walshe introduces this year's St. Patrick's Festival, which runs from from March 16th to 20th.

This year we’re happier than ever to introduce the National St Patrick’s Festival - the theme this year is 'Connections’ or ‘Naisc’, and it really couldn’t be more fitting.

There’s no doubt that we all missed music, celebrations and the craic during the exceptional challenges we all faced in recent years, as a country and across the world. So now we’re back, bigger and better than ever, to celebrate Irish arts, culture and heritage. The celebrations will be the largest to date and an opportunity for us all to reconnect and enjoy some well deserved fun!

Meet the International Guest of Honour for this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade...

We have the legendary St. Patrick’s Day Parade returning to the streets of Dublin on March 17th, with more pageantry and more marching bands than ever! New for this year, we are really excited to be introducing our Festival Quarter at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks. This central hub of activity right in the heart of Dublin, will run from the 16th to the 20th of March, from day into night, and features Spiegeltent Mór and Spiegeltent Beag, a 3,000 capacity outdoor Main Stage, Craic Comedy Tent, Story Yurt, performance spaces, and relaxation areas. This will also host the Irish Food & Craft Village, showcasing our country’s incredible produce, culinary creations, arts and crafts for all to enjoy! During the day there really is something on for everyone in the family. We’ve got story time at The Story Yurt, Strong Women Science, Tumble Circus, Fanzini Brothers, Little Gems Puppets, Céilí Mór, all kinds of music and much, much more!

Across the week we have an incredible line up of some of Ireland's most exciting talent, across all genres of music and comedy. As important as it is to celebrate our heritage, we believe it’s equally important to celebrate and raise up our new and emerging talent. We’re thrilled to have artists like Damien Dempsey, Mother DJs, Nealo, Celaviedmai, Mango X Mathman, Le Boom, AE Mak, Malaki, Adam Mohamed, Sing Along Social and so many more. A glance at the line-up and you’ll see the wonderfully eclectic mix of Irish artists that we are so proud to celebrate and to have representing Ireland on the national and global stage.
