In the Poetry Programme on Sunday 28th November, at 7 pm on RTÉ Radio 1, we hear about Local Wonders, a new anthology from Dedalus Press - listen above.
Editor Pat Boran is in studio with presenter Olivia O'Leary, and throughout the programme we hear a range of poets reading their contributions.
When Pat Boran put out the call for contributions to the new anthology he was inundated with contributions from all over. The poems in the resulting book celebrate the discoveries and realisations we have made over the last 18 months or so of life during a pandemic, and Pat believes it will have a wide appeal.

Jaki McCarrick imagines a different fate for the mythical figure of Sweeney, while Elaine Gaston and Eriko Tsugawa Madden Gaston find wonder in the everyday and the seemingly mundane.
