Each week, an established Irish director will introduce a Screen Ireland-supported short of their choice to a wider audience.

Renowned playwright and film director Carmel Winters introduces (via her dog, Lucky) Ken Wardrop’s Useless Dog: a witty documentary about an inept but lovable farm dog.

Carmel Winters is a playwright, writer and director, known for her critically acclaimed features Snap and the more recent Float Like A Butterfly, winner of the Fipresci Prize at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival.

Ken Wardrop is known for his filmmaking across shorts, ads and documentaries like Making the Grade and his 2009 film, the Sundance award-winning and Irish box office hit His & Hers.
