Moyra Donaldson is an award-winning and critically-acclaimed poet and creative writing facilitator from County Down. Her awards include the Women's National Poetry Competition, The Allingham Award, Cúirt New Writing Award, North West Words Poetry Award and the Belfast Year of the Writer Award.

Poet Jane Robinson and Poetry Programme host Olivia O Leary

She has received a number of awards from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, including a Major Individual Award in 2019. She joins Olivia to talk about and read from her collection Carnivorous, published by Doire Press.

Jane Robinson grew up in Ireland and worked abroad, in the USA and India, for twenty years. Informed by a BA from Trinity College Dublin and a PhD in Biological Science from the California Institute of Technology, much of her writing would now be described as ecopoetry. Her debut collection, Journey to the Sleeping Whale, published by Salmon Poetry, won the 2019 Shine/Strong Award for Best First Collection. Poems from the collection have also won the Strokestown International Poetry Prize and the Red Line Book Festival Poetry Award.
