Legendary voice and acting coach Gerry Grennell has worked with Marlon Brando and Meryl Streep and helps actors with accents and singing skills. He joined Ray D’Arcy on the line to share some of his highs and lows from working in the industry.

Gerry told Ray about one of his favourite clients, the late Heath Ledger. The pair worked together on "all" of Heath’s big projects, leading to a kind of "shorthand" between them.

"He worked on his characters through voice. So, he found it would help to discover aspects of himself through the voice and when he was working on a particular character or a particular emotion, that his voice would change and accommodate those emotions. And then through playing with that and throwing ideas around, come up with various approaches to the character and then flesh it out."
