In this week's edition of The Joe Jackson Tapes Revisited, Joe presents an interview with late, great country legend Glen Campbell, recorded back in 1990. Listen to the show in full above.

These subjects include, playing guitar for the greats such as Elvis and Sinatra, his love of Jim Webb songs such as By The Time I Get To Phoenix, marriage to Tanya Tucker, abuse of cocaine and having his soul saved, he says, by Christ. The show includes some of Campbell’s greatest hits, including Rhinestone Cowboy.

Jackson says. "As I say at the start of this programme, I became an interviewer purely to meet my heroes, starting with Leonard Cohen in 1985. Glen Campbell was another of my musical heroes, even before I knew that it was he who played guitar on classic pop hits such as Viva Las Vegas, Strangers in the Night and Good Vibrations, plus the Beach Boys LP Pet Sounds. I also loved a lot of his own solo recordings. So, meeting Glen Campbell circa 1990 and getting what turned out to be the only in-depth Irish interview ever gave, was as much of a thrill as it would be for any fan. This show is my tribute to the man, who died just before it was orignally broadcast last year."
