Lords Of Strut are so hot right now - Cork-based comedic dance duo SeanTastic and Famous Seamus, AKA Cian Kinsella and Cormac Mohally, blazed a trail to the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent. This weekend, the acrobatic comedy duo are appearing the the acclaimed show RIOT, at Vicar Street.

We asked Cormac Mohally, AKA Famous Seamus, for his choice cultural picks.

Film

Personally I'll enjoy any good quality tearjerker, but if it's for the weekend then I wanna laugh, and laugh at something stupid, fun and clever. Most of Will Ferrell's back catalogue would be in the mix, but I'll throw in a little gem called Wet Hot American Summer. Love the montage in the middle when they go to town, and I really enjoyed the fact that the recent WHAS series (on Netflix) still didn't acknowledge the ages of the actors.

Music

Lately I've been doing a lot of Spotify playlists and being introduced to new bands and artists - favourite finds of late have been Nóze, an electro duo with a disco vibe from France.

Book

I think we could all read a bit more, and the current book on my sideboard is White Teeth by Zadie Smith - a great writer with a real knack for in-depth characterizations.

Play

Get out there and see something! I highly recommend Ursula Martinez, who is performing this weekend in the Project Arts Centre, or pop down to Carlow Arts Festival to catch Pss Pss.

TV

Finally catching up with Making A Murderer. Don't tell me how it ends.

Gig

The last gig I managed to catch was while on tour was Nadine Shah at the Norwich Festival. I'm really looking forward to kicking back at Body&Soul in a few weeks, and hearing some of the best and upcoming artists in Ireland.

Art

My partner, Francesca Castellano, has just finished her 4th year at Crawford Art College, and I'm super-excited to see what she has created, which is a performance-based piece.

Radio/Podcast

I'm addicted to BBC Radio 4 podcasts, from In Our Time to Start the Week - it keeps me informed and up to date with current events, while giving me a greater context in historical terms.

Tech

Websites and apps have to work easy for me or I stop using them. I find met.ie useful for knowing what the weather will actually be like, and WhatsApp is useful for having a conversation with a group of people. Facebook messenger just gets messy, probably cause Facebook is... I won't finish that sentence.

The Next Big Thing...

Better style. Lords of Strut want people to dress up not dress down. Express yourself, go wild, wear something that makes you laugh, walk with purpose - or just make your eyes pop. Stop being so cool, and just go for it, 'cause those who will, will be The Next Big Thing.
