President Herzog visits Cork and Kerry on the third day of his state visit.
President Chaim Herzog of Israel was in Sneem, County Kerry where he unveiled a memorial to the late President Cearbhall Ó Dálaigh.
Later he attended a special meeting of Cork Corporation at the City Hall attended by former Taoiseach Jack Lynch, Minister for Foreign Affairs Peter Barry and former Lord Mayor of Cork Gerald Goldberg.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Peter Barry raised the issue of the recent incident involving Irish and Israeli troops in Lebanon.
