A test of speed and steady hands as waiters race with loaded trays in Bray.

Twenty five barmen and waiters representing four licensed premises and hotels compete in a race for waiters in Bray, County Wicklow.

Aidan McLoughlin of Streamstown in County Westmeath, an employee of Doyle's pub in Bray was the fastest to carry a tray containing a Hock bottle and a glass of spirits from the Grand Hotel to the seafront. His steady hands and speed won him a prize of £3 and a bottle of whiskey.

The Waiters' Race was sponsored by Phoenix Ale and was run in conjunction with Bray Civic Week.
