A rock musical Frankenstein opens Limerick four day festival.

It is expected that Paddy Music Expo '95 will attract more than twenty thousand visitors to the city who will experience the best of Limerick’s music and arts scene at venues throughout the city.

A week long celebration of sound and street carnival.

One of the highlights of the opening night took place in the grounds of King John’s Castle and took the form of a rock music interpretation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.  This dramatic performance, produced by Theatre of Fire is just one of a hundred and fifty scheduled to take place over the next four days.

According to festival organisers, these events consolidate Limerick’s role as a recently designated centre for excellence in music.
