A thousand students in Cork take part in a fifty four hour continuous concert attempting to set a world record.
Cork is claiming a world record after the biggest musical undertaking the city has seen. The initiative is part of a fundraiser to send an Irish orchestra to the international youth festival in Spain.
As time ticked away, students played what they described as their Hallelujah Chorus.
The music marathon took place at the Cork Municipal School of Music and involved all types of music with the aim of making a world marathon record. The students are now seeking ratification of their musical world record.
We are now finished our fifty four hours. Thank God.
