Thieves remove all the furnishings and fittings from an Irishman's million pound English home cleaning it out from top to bottom.

Bernard Tansey's million-pound five-bedroom mock Tudor mansion in Hadley Wood, Hertfordshire has been stripped from the roof to the floor.

Speaking to RTÉ News Bernard Tansey was still in shock by the robbery.

I just couldn't believe it's possible that anybody could do such wanton destruction.

The thieves took everything the floorboards, the ceiling, the fireplace, the skirting boards, the doors and even the doorways.

They even took the brass plates from the light switches.
