One the most popular characters in the Dublin newspaper industry Paddy Bolger takes us on a tour of Dublin's shopping district around Talbot Street.

Paddy reflects on the changes that have taken place over the years when it comes to shopping in Dublin, specifically focusing on the level of politeness and helpfulness of both shop assistants and customers. He also has a few choice words to say about female shop assistants.

Instead of going for brains and efficiency, they seem to go for glamour girls who look lovely behind the counter and haven't got a clue.

Paddy puts the changing etiquette down to the lack of training for shop assistants these days.

There's such a couldn't care less attitude now in the shops that if you don't go to a supermarket, your chances of being pleased with anything you get is practically nil.
