Students in Galway look to balance their social life and studies once they have found a place to live.
Galway is a city with a reputation for knowing how to party. It is also a university town with a large community of young people. RTÉ News takes a look at how students manage their finances allowing them to go out while still keeping with their college requirements.
Over half of Galway's students work part time. Student and bar worker Dave Gleeson says,
You just have to find the balance between working, going out and going to college and studying.
Another challenge in Galway is finding accommodation in a city where rent prices are on the increase and student dwellings are in short supply. Students queuing for rental lists describe the problems they face.
