A new Sunday newspaper called 'The Title' will be on the news stands on 28 July 1996.

'The Title' will be primarily devoted to sports coverage. The paper will face stiff competition from an already crowded Sunday newspaper market. To add to this challenge, the circulation of Sunday papers has been falling in recent years. Will a paper predominantly devoted to sports be able to get a share of the market?

Cathal Dervan, editor and Liam Hayes, managing director are both optimistic about the plans for the newspaper and are confident it will be successful.

An RTÉ News report broadcast on 3 July 1996. The reporter is Colm Connolly.

'The Title' later became the 'Ireland on Sunday' and ceased production in 2006.
