With a ladies and a men's trophy for the taking, there was no shortage of participants willing to compete for the title of 'Irish Rolling Pin Throwing Champ' in Crawfordsburn, County Down.

The 6d price for having-a-go enticed young and old to take part. Dress code is optional, with one lady removing her overcoat in a tactical move to improve her chances of winning the coveted trophy.
