International soccer players, defender Phil Babb and striker, Mark Kennedy, have been dropped from the Republic of Ireland squad for their next match against Holland.
This follows their appearance in Dublin District Court where they were charged with being intoxicated in a public place, threatening behaviour, using foul and abusive language and criminal damage to a car belonging to Garda Elaine Farrell, the officer who arrested them.
The two players who were arrested shortly before 4am on Harcourt Street in Dublin were freed on bail and will appear in court again in November.
Mark Kennedy and Phil Babb later apologised at a press conference at the Republic of Ireland team's training camp near Dublin Airport.
