'Púiríní' meets Cillian and Rónán Ó Dubhghaill busking as Gaeilge on the streets of Cork.
Presenters Donall Mac an Rí and Clíona Ní Bhuachalla spent their summers travelling around Ireland looking for craic for 'Púiríní', RTÉ's Irish-language programme for young people. In this extract from a weekend in Cork, they come across Cillian and Rónán Ó Dubhghaill performing an Irish version of 'Batman' on the city streets.
Níl Rónán ach ag iarraidh roinnt airgid a thuilleamh, ach tá suim ag an t-amhránaí Cillian sa drámaíocht. Tá sé ag plé leis an aisteoireacht faoi láthair.
'Púiríní' was an Irish language series for young people, which followed two presenters, Donall Mac an Rí and Clíona Ní Bhuachalla, on their weekend trips to summer festivals and events. It ran from 1988 to 1990 and was filmed entirely on location each week. 'Púiríní' was A Coco Production for RTÉ.
This edition of 'Púiríní' was broadcast on 23 August 1990.
