Students have their own statement to make as they get to show their fashion designs.

The annual National College of Art and Design graduation fashion show took place in Dublin. The graduates from the fashion and textiles course get to display their work.

Colours were bold and striking as were some of the designs which caused many an amused smile from the audience.

It is estimated that 30-40% of graduates would get jobs here in Ireland, some will have to or will want to go abroad for experience but hopefully come back to Ireland and set up on their own.

Mary O’Donohue won best overall student A Wear Award for her collection ‘Hooked on Classics’.
