The repaired angel on the Daniel O'Connell statue is put back in position.

The statue of the repaired angel is hoisted onto the Daniel O'Connell statue in Dublin's O'Connell Street.

An RTÉ News report broadcast on 14 September 1974.

The O'Connell Monument was designed by Dublin sculptor John Henry Foley paying tribute to The Liberator Daniel O'Connell. The monument has stood on the site since 1882. At the base of the statue of Daniel O'Connell are four winged victories of fidelity, patriotism, eloquence and courage. The Victory of Courage was destroyed in a bomb attack in December 1969 and the repaired statue is now back in place.
