The All-Ireland Senior Hurling final takes place in September at Croke Park Dublin. Ahead of the 1964 final between Kilkenny and Tipperary the RTV Guide (now RTÉ Guide) profiled the two teams. On the day Tipperary beat Kilkenny 5-13 to 2-8. The win gave Tipperary a 20th All Ireland Hurling title.
