Comedian and actor Russell Brand has been continuing his voyage around the east coast of Ireland while filming his new movie.

43-year-old Brand is in Ireland to shoot his role as the baddie in Four Kids and It and he has been using breaks in filming to take walks in the country with his dogs and take yoga classes.

Directed by former Father Ted and Spitting Image director Andy De Emmony, Four Kids and It also stars Michael Caine voicing "a sand fairy" and includes a cameo appearance from Cheryl Tweedy.

The movie is adapted from the Jacqueline Wilson book and tells the story of youngsters who discover that their beach holiday is really a getting-to-know-you bonding trip set up by their respective parents, new couple Alice (Paula Patton) and David (Mathew Goode).

During a bust-up, the children stumble upon a magical creature, It (voiced by Caine), who will grant them a wish every day.

Brand plays Tristan, the local villain who wants to capture It.

The Irish Sun previously reported that Wexford will double for Cornwall in the film, which began shooting in Ireland last week.

Brand took to Instagram to post shots of his dogs, Bear and Carly in another sign that former hell raiser has adjusted well to his new life of sobriety and meditation.

He also took in a yoga class at Sacred Space in Wicklow and posted a snap of himself with teacher Teresa Murphy Moore.
