Horse brings joy to patients in France
A healthcare facility in Dijon, France, is bringing happiness to patients with the help of a horse.
Peyo and his trainer visit residents of the EHPAD Chartreuse facility for older people twice a month.
Routine contact with Peyo is improving patients' mood.
Hassen Bouchakour, a trainer from the Les Sabots du Coeur Association, says: "It is one of the most pure, honest, and sweet things.
"They like each other very much without asking for anything else."
Dr Marie Lombard, a geriatrician at the facility, said: "It is all about emotion, it touches personal life experiences, memories that we didn't know about."
