Skoda launches new compact SUV.
Skoda's new compact SUV - the five-seat Karoq - is yet another car in an extremely competitive segment.
There is hardly a car company out there that does'nt have a compact SUV in its line-up but Skoda is hoping a generous boot and and flexibile seating will give it an edge here. It will also be hoping to pick up customers who previously bought the Yeti, which this car replaces. The entry-level version costs €27,715.
The Karoq is a straight lift of the design of the bigger Kodiaq, but smaller and with fewer seats.
The KAROQ comes with a choice of four engine variants, ranging from 115 bhp to 150 bhp, with three automatic gearbox choices, as well as a 150 bhp four wheel drive version. There is also a 1.5 TSi petrol engine in the line-up.

Additional cost extras include a navigation system and a Wi-Fi hotspot . A wireless phone charger can also be added.
The VarioFlex seating system can be adjusted for various layout formats (or removed completely) to increase storage space to 588 litres.
The better-equipped and more expensive Ambition version comes standard with 17" alloy wheels; 8" touch screen, infotainment system, Climatronic air-conditioning and rear parking sensors. The Style trim adds 18" alloy wheels, 9.2" Columbus infotainment system with navigation, rear view camera, DAB radio and Keyless Entry with a Start / Stop button.
