Pippa O'Connor's Trend Predictions for Spring/Summer 2018
LifeStyle blogger, stylist and author Pippa O'Connor shares her favourite colours, designers, and trends for Spring/Summer fashion in Ireland.
We were lucky enough to attend the Spring/Summer 2018 fashion show in Dublin's Brown Thomas earlier this month where we spoke to Shelly Corkery about the trend everyone will be wearing in 2018.
Once the models left the catwalk, we caught up with the stylish to get her view on the trends ahead.
The mum of two was perfectly put together in a beige jumper, her own label, Poco, jeans and black studded boots as she chatted to us about the Spring/Summer fashion season.
"I absolutely loved a couple of the outfits - well, all of them - but espeically Celine.
"There was a two piece flowy blouse with a matching skirt. I love things that are kind of unstructured and easy to wear - I like a bit of floatyness.
"I suppose, I'm pretty girly. I like pastely colours but then I like to inject a bit of edginess in it with a cool pair of boots or funky accessories," she said.
While we love a pair of Louboutins and a Celine top as much as the next girl, our purses probably won't stretch too far from the high street this Summer. We asked Pippa how to stretch our budgets this season.
"I'll probably invest in a couple of expensive, good pieces that I can wear with loads of different outfits. To me, I love buying two-pieces - as much as I love dresses - I like getting things that I can mix and match because I think that's important."
The mum of two has launched a successful jeans range called Poco by Pippa. Despite the rumours that skinny jeans are on their way out of fashion, Pippa insists they are here to stay.
She told RTÉ LifeStyle that her range of skinnies will be perfectly on-trend.
"I love that light blue wash that's really coming back in as well so that's definitely something I'll be adding to my own Poco range," she explained.
And finally, Pippa's key colours for Summer? "Yellow and blush pink." Now we know, happy shopping!
