Amanda Byram wants Conor McGregor for DWTS
Amanda Byram has revealed that Conor McGregor is her top choice for the second series of Dancing With The Stars but would he be a knockout on the dance floor?
As Byram and her DWTS co-host Nicky Byrne get ready for the second series of the show, the pair discussed their excitement for its return on 2fm this morning - it'll be back on RTÉ One in January - and the constant speculation over who the celebrity contestants will be this time around.
"I'd love to see Conor McGregor do it..." Byram said on the Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene.
"Conor would be great," Byrne added, before Byram joked that the MMA star would "knock the judges out."
The hosting duo were adamant that they don't know who is in line to dance their way into series two, with Byram saying, "No one tells us anything."
Despite the continued mystery over who will be showing off their hoofing skills, both hosts says they are excited to return to the ballroom.
"I'm really looking forward to it, I can't wait... Last year we were, not nervous about it, but we wanted it to work, we needed to make sure it worked and we all put our energy and our whole selves into it. But now we know it works," Byram said.
Byrne added, "I'm really looking forward to seeing the cast because the cast makes the show, and it really did last year."
The action-packed first series saw Aoibhín Garrihy, Denise McCormack and Gaelic footballer Aidan O'Mahony make it to the final, with the Kerry GAA legend landing what many people considered a shock win.
The show proved a huge hit with audiences in its debut run, racking up an average weekly audience of 584,000.
