He’s back!  Nathan Carter returns to RTE One for a brand new series of his popular entertainment show and first up his special guests are Shane Filan, Roisin O and Hayseed Dixie.

Following the success of last year’s show, singer Nathan Carter returns to our screens for a brand new four-part series – and packed full of music, chat and entertainment, The Nathan Carter Show is guaranteed to brighten up those long, dark November nights.

Viewers are in for a treat as Nathan performs some of his favourite country, folk and pop songs.  From the late Glen Campbell classic ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’ and the iconic ‘Summer in Dublin’ to show-stopping versions of ‘Live and Let Die’ and ‘Something Inside So Strong’, Nathan is in his element as he struts his stuff, backed by an impressive 17-piece band and encouraged by enthusiastic audiences.

Recorded in the Knocknarea Arena, Sligo, The Nathan Carter Show features an impressive line-up of guests from Ireland, the UK and the US, including Stella Parton, Shane Filan, Martine McCutcheon, Paul Carrack, Aston Merrygold, Steve Harley, Moya Brennan, Johnny McEvoy, Roisin O, Hayseed Dixie, Donna Taggart, Earl, The High Kings and Derek Ryan.  Nathan loves musical collaborations so look out for lots of magical moments as he and his guests team up for some iconic duets including ‘Every Breath You Take’, ‘The Living Years’ and ‘You Raise Me Up’.

There’s no shortage of laughs and gossip as guests share their stories with Nathan – why did Martine McCutcheon have to re-take her kiss with Hugh Grant so many times?  Has Louis Walsh still not got over the Westlife split?  How did a Galway banjo player get into trouble with Barack Obama?  And what is it like having Dolly Parton as your big sister?

Nathan loves a challenge, so see what happened when he travelled around Ireland to surprise a fan in her kitchen, took on the world’s youngest stunt driver in a high-speed race, and disguised himself as an elderly lady to prank three best friends!

The Nathan Carter Show, Episode 1 of 4, RTÉ One, Sunday, November 5th at 9.30pm

Nathan Carter is in sparkling form as he presents the first episode of his brand new series from the Knocknarea Arena, Sligo.  Backed by his impressive 17-piece band, Nathan belts out some great songs including ‘Summer in Dublin’ and self-penned ballad ‘This Song is For You’.

The first guest of Nathan’s new series is Sligo native Shane Filanand the pair perform an iconic Westlife song together. Mary Black’s daughter Roisin O drops in for a song; there’s a surprise appearance from a well-known Irish singer 50 years after the Number One hit that brought him fame; and all the way from the Appalachian Mountains in East Tennessee, Hayseed Dixie raise the roof with their unique bluegrass-meets-AC/DC sound…helped by a nip or two of whiskey!

There’s plenty of chat too as Nathan hears about the time Dublin fans heckled Mick Jagger during an early Rolling Stones gig in Dublin’s Adelphi Cinema, and finds out why Louis Walsh was so devastated when Westlife announced their split.

The show also features Nathan as you’ve never seen him before – he spent hours in make-up being transformed into a surly chauffeur, a doddery hotel porter and a well-padded elderly lady, as he plots a series of pranks on some unsuspecting fans.
