Listeners of 2fm’s Breakfast Republic and fans of Bridget & Eamon on RTÉ2 won't be too shocked to hear who Jenifer Zamparelli was dreading sharing her baby news with!

"I was delighted to tell people because I was really excited but I was terrified to tell this one person...and that was Bernard O’Shea," Jen told us at the RTÉ TV Autumn Launch today.

"Everybody, even my boss, Dan Healy [Head of 2fm] who will have to inevitably give me some time off, even three days off to have the child, threw his arms around me because he loves babies.

"Bernard O’Shea gave me the typical reaction, probably the same reaction to the first one. Ah for f*&+ sake!

"Yeah, thanks [Bernard!], thanks for that pal! He’s just thinking of projects that we have lined up, Bridget & Eamon and writing, our production company.

The thing about Bernard is that when we work on Bridget and Eamon, he doesn’t have a lot of work to do because he just plays himself mean, disgruntled, pain in the ....

"[Laughing, she added] he doesn’t have to transform himself to play that kind of a character.

"I had a tough time filming because not only was I pregnant but I was really sick, really sick but I’m over it now so its fine."

Bridget and Eamon are returning to RTÉ2 for another new season.
