Episode 4

This week Lucy Kennedy escapes from Ballydung Manor and goes in search of the North Atlantic Right Whale.

Wild Trials is back and this year's series takes a more exciting and adventurous twist as it goes back in time and rediscovers some of the amazing Irish creatures which once roamed this land. To become a wildlife photographer for a week is still the challenge facing five well-known Irish personalities, but this year, to make things even harder, each contestant must track down and photograph an animal now extinct in Ireland. To get their shot each contestant will need to travel to some of the wildest places on earth....and hope to get lucky.

Lucy Kennedy escapes the confines of Ballydung Manor for a week and sets off on her dream adventure - in search of one of the world's rarest animals, the North Atlantic Right Whale. Once a common sighting off Irish shores, this whale met its demise with the development of commercial whaling. Now, with fewer than 350 left in the entire world, Lucy is set a tough challenge. Located in the Bay of Fundy, Canada, where the whales head for the summer months, Lucy will spend her time at sea in search of these giants. With the ultimate test of sea legs and an unsteady platform, will Lucy be lucky enough to get the winning shot she is after?
