Series 2
Programme 1
The first episode sees 20 year old Kenyan girl, Nai Lemorshira take her college class mate, Kerryman John O'Dowd, back home to meet her family. Nai, who is Maasai, is studying in DCU and lives with her father, an employee at the Kenyan Embassy.
Nai's mother, sister and brother live in Nairobi. While there, Nai and John visit one of the city's dumps where young children work scavenging for useable rubbish. Nai is deeply moved by seeing this side of her homeland.
Programme 2
Episode two is a visit home to Uruguay for Galway based Andres Martorell and his best mate, Shane. Andres and Shane met through Shane's wife, the singer Lucia Evans. Andres is a singing teacher who came to Ireland six years ago.
The two guys travel to the Montevideo neighbourhood Andres grew up in. Andres goes back to his old boxing club. Boxing was a skill Andres picked up to help him in the tough parts of the town he grew up in. Much to Shane's amusement, Andres also reunites with his former boy band.
Programme 3
Apoorv Vyas, a young Indian man living in Ireland, travels home to India with his manager Gemma Kelly. Gemma, a 33 year old Dubliner and mother of two, left school and home at 15 and has rarely travelled. Two years ago, Gemma changed her lifestyle and lost 9 stone in the process. This journey to India is part of that change and is something her old self never would have considered.
Programme 4
Jerome Blows, from South Africa, works for a security firm in Dublin. He met Ronan Bools when he was working as a security guard in a bank, where Ronan is a manager. Ronan, married with 2 children, still lives in the house he grew up in. The two men have a shared interest in sport, dogs and food. Together, they visit Jerome's old haunts from Johannesburg to Cape Town.
