DICK WARNER has over 90 broadcast television documentaries to his credit. As well as writing and presenting the original 24 programmes of Waterways (which won the Jacob's Award) he wrote and presented 18 Voyage programmes about Ireland's coastal waters. He did the same for the 8 programmes of the RTÉ/Channel 4 co-production Spirit of Trees and wrote Wood from the Trees for Time Horizon/RTÉ. He presented Ironing the Land, 8 documentaries about Irish railway history, as well as numerous one-off documentaries for Agtel/Independent Pictures and Tile Films Ltd. He has also written and voiced a number of David Shaw-Smith's documentaries, including his recent Cots and Cotsmen.

In addition he has a huge portfolio of non-broadcast work, much of it about waterways of one kind or another, for clients such as the Central Fisheries Board, The Loughs Agency, The Office of Public Works, the National Botanic Gardens and Tourism Ireland. He also writes for print media and has published several books, the latest (2008) being The Liffey- Portrait of a River. He writes features and a weekly wildlife column for the Irish Examiner and for a number of magazines.

STEPHEN ROOKE attended Bournemouth Film School as a mature student where he graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Media Production in July 1989. In the same year he set up the production company Tile Films Ltd. to direct and produce a thirty-minute television and cinema drama, Undercurrents, starring Mary McGuckian and Niall Tobin. He was then commissioned to produce and direct a one-hour documentary, Voices from the Sand, for PBS in America. Following this he directed three of the internationally renowned Waterways series, which received a Jacob's award in 1992 and a Cable Ace Award in 1993.

Over the last twenty years, Stephen has gained a reputation as one of Ireland's leading documentary/factual programme-makers. He has directed/produced/executive produced over 145 television documentaries, including six docu-drama series, sixteen documentary/factual series, six one-off documentaries and a television drama series. He has also directed thirty television and cinema commercials, as well as over forty corporate films and videos. Stephen's television work has been seen on over 40 channels throughout the world, including RTE, TG4, UTV, S4C, BBC, SVT, YLE, Channel 4, Smithsonian Channel, Discovery, National Geographic, PBS, The History Channel, France 5 and SBS Australia

Today in his roll as Managing Director of Tile Films, Stephen leads a vibrant production team that brings a mix of creative and production skills to the film-making process.

Larry Masterson


LARRY MASTERSON is one of the most established and respected producers in the business. Apart from RTÉ he has produced for Channel 4 UK, Discovery Channel US, Learning Channel US, Travel Channel and TG4. Some of his productions including If I Should Fall From Grace have been syndicated internationally. He has also been the recipient of many awards and was nominated for a Cable/ACE award in America. He HAS completed four years as Executive Producer of the Late Late Show and has produced other shows including The Miriam Show, The Saturday Night Show with Brendan O'Connor and the six part series with Dermot O'Neill, Dermot's Secret Garden.

Other productions include: Waterways, Voyage, Written in Stone, Legends of The Isle, From The Horses Mouth, If I Should Fall From Grace and The Popes Children.

Ronan Hardiman


RONAN HARDIMAN is a highly successful award winning composer, producer, songwriter, with projects and soundtracks that have become global entertainment phenomena.

Born and raised in Dublin Ireland, Ronan Hardiman left his daytime job as a teller with the Bank of Ireland while still in his early twenties to pursue his dream of one day becoming an acclaimed composer. He quickly became an internationally sought after bright new talent. Best known for his stunning scores to Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance, Feet Of Flames and more recently Celtic Tiger Dance spectaculars, Hardiman is also a highly successful solo recording artist, producer and songwriter with a number of million selling projects to his credit. One of Ronan's latest major project is the new stage musical 'Sacred Flame' (working title), a collaboration between Ronan and legendary lyricist Frank Musker (Il Divo, Queen, Zucchero).

Ronan's film and TV projects include the award winning Natural History series, 'Waterways', films such as 'My Friend Joe' and scores for such well known commercials as Coca Cola, National Lottery, Guinness, and RTE's Nine O' Clock News.

He body of work includes feature films such West is West, Zonad, Garage, Song for a Raggy Boy, Disco Pigs and Inside I'm Dancing. His television credits include the award winning series Waterways, George Gently, Stardust, Proof and Fág an Bealach to name but a few.

JIM DUGGAN has worked in the film and television industry for over 25 years. He initially worked as an editor on film then moved onto non linear, cutting drama, documentaries and commercials. Jim is now Managing Director of the successful post production house, Screen Scene, which credits include Once, The Guard, Wave-riders, All Good Children and The Clinic

Rachel Towell

RACHEL TOWELL has wide ranging experience of the Television industry in Ireland and overseas. She has been instrumental in the production management of series including Heaven on Earth, The Lost Gods, The Ghosts of Duffys Cut, Irelands Nazis and Rookes of Vicars Hill. Her experience spans from light entertainment (Saturday Night Live- RTE, Speakeasy- TV3) to magazine and lifestyle programmes (About the House series I, II and III RTE & Discovery UK and Antiques Watch - RTE). She produced the IFTA award winning Cromwell in Ireland, a two part HD docudrama for RTE, History Channel UK and Smithsonian Networks in the US. She is currently producing the acclaimed series Cé A Chónaigh I Mo Theachsa
