Sharon

Sharon is a familiar face on RTÉ. She has co-anchored the late night news review, News on 2, since 1997 having begun working with Nuacht RTÉ in 1994.

She has extensive experience as a broadcaster and reporter. Prior to joining RTÉ she presented and produced programmes for the Dublin radio station, Raidió na Life.

Sharon graduated from Trinity College, Dublin with an honours degree in early and modern Irish.

In between teaching she started writing for Irish language publications such as 'Anois' and 'Comhar'. Sharon was delighted to present Turas Teanga as it allowed her to share her interest and enthusiasm for the language with many others.

Sharon is passionate and actively involved in animal welfare. She's also an ambassador for the Irish Blood Transfusion Service in promoting the importance of donating blood.
