Gabriel Byrne

Actor Gabriel Byrne first came to the Irish public's attention as a smouldering sex symbol called Pat Barry on The Riordans. Since then, he's enjoyed huge worldwide success in films like 'Defence Of The Realm', 'Miller's Crossing', 'End Of Days', 'Stigmata', and 'The Usual Suspects'. Gabriel told Ryan how he bagged Richard Nixon's and Paul McCartney's autographs. He also talked about his role in Richard E Grant's new film "Wah Wah", his mission as a Unicef Ireland Ambassador to Africa. He also talked about living in New York City before picking up an accordion and playing a bit of "Wooden Heart".

The "Celebrity Jigs and Reels" judges joined Ryan on the couch. Sports pundit and broadcaster George Hook, fashionista Robert Byrne and Irish dancing giants Jean Butler and Colin Dunne all revealed their views on the sexiness, elegance and strenuousness of Irish dancing and gave a sneak preview of what to expect from RTÉ's latest reality TV programme. Jean told Ryan how intricate and complicated Irish dancing is, Robert confessed that he much prefers to Tango, Colm recalled teaching Irish dancing to a bunch of coach drivers, and George revealed his love for dancing going back to the good old musicals.
