What is there to say about Ian Beale that has not already been said? Famed for clinching a deal at anybodies expense and then for spectacularly losing it all only claw his way back up again, Ian Beale aka Adam Woodyatt has been in EastEnders since it began 21 years ago.
As the BBC soap celebrates it's 21st birthday next week, Adam and Wendy Richard (Pauline Fowler) are the only members of original cast left on the soap. He is also one of the few EastEnders cast members to actually come from the East End of London.
Before landing the part of Ian Beale, Adam appeared in the 1983 children's drama 'The Baker Street Boys' playing Shiner. He then starred in the film 'The Witches and The Grinnygog'. Ian left school in 1984 and within weeks found himself walking onto the EastEnders set. Since then he has appeared in over 1,700 episodes!
Adam's pantomime and theatre credits include 'Aladdin', 'Mother Goose', 'Cinderella' and 'Oliver'. He regularly guests on TV game and panel shows. His appearances include 'Celebrity Ready Steady Cook', 'The Weakest Link' and 'A Question of TV'.
Adam's also turned his hand to presenting programmes such as 'Value For Money', 'Dreamhouse' and 'National Lottery Live'.
In real life Adam is married dancer Beverley Sharp and the couple have two children. Apart from acting, Adam is passionate about cycling and has done numerous long distance charity bike rides. He is also into cricket, fishing, football and golf.
Anna Nolan
Anna Nolan came to public attention when she was runner up in the original Channel 4's 'Big Brother' six years ago.
Initially known as the ex-nun who lost out to handyman Craig, Anna has proved her staying power and has enjoyed a successful TV career since she walked out of the 'Big Brother' house.
It is true Anna did enter a convent after she finished school at Loreto in Crumlin but she left after a year when she decided the nunnery wasn't for her.
Over the last six years, Anna has worked on a string of UK and Irish TV shows including RTÉ's religious affairs documentary programme 'Would You Believe'.
She became Irish telly's first agony aunt when she presented 'Ask Anna' and is now livening up weekday afternoons with Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh on 'The Afternoon Show'. Other work on RTÉ include her appearance in 'The Restaurant' and a three part series 'Drawing the Line'.
Anna has also presented the series 'Anna In Wonderland' and co-present two series of 'Closure' with Davina McCall, both for BBC 3.
Living in Wicklow, Anna is great mates Blathnaid and the pair hang out socially as well as on set. This summer, Anna plans to go to the Galapagos Islands and Peru.
