Animation special following the Staneen teens on a school break. When Burno and Desree's parents go out for the evening, they throw a party.
The Staneen teens fight holiday boredom by throwing a party!
The big night finally arrives. It is the opening night of Romeo & Juliet, and a mystery virus has laid Tania low. Desree looks sure to take over as Juliet and have her moment of glory onstage.until things go very, very wrong.
Desree must take over as Juliet's understudy in rehearsals for the school play. As she and Paulie rehearse together for the first time. Desree believes her dreams are finally about to come true. But Paulie is troubled - after all, Desree is his best friend's little sister.
Desree decides to take action to prove to Mrs Rooney that she would make a far better Juliet than Tania Nelson. She must follow her dream of playing Juliet to Paulie's Romeo. Mrs Rooney has other ideas, however.
Mrs Rooney invites the cast of Romeo & Juliet to offer their ideas for the new production. Burno's rap-rewrite of Shakespeare doesn't go down too well, and he soon learns that although everyone's opinions are valid, some are more valid than others.
Desree and Avril are obsessed with American TV star Cody Lovely and start to adopt his accent. Burno is so disgusted with his sister choosing American culture over her own, that he decides to write a rap about it.
Desree decides to go on a diet to become more 'svelte' like the girls she sees in magazines. She has to choose a food that most resembles her personality - bright and zesty. She soon discovers that there's only so much zestiness she can stomach. Burno starts an exercise regime to gain Tania's attention, but finds he might be better off sticking to rapping and chips.
Burno is sick of school and people telling him what to do. He's determined to strike out on his own as an independent man, so he takes up busking to support himself. Desree is also sick of her mammy hassling her, and needs some space. But at the end of the day, both discover that they might not be ready for independent living just yet.
Burno is determined to take a stand against Gaeilge being foisted on him at school. He starts a petition, but Tania is less than impressed. Meanwhile Desree decides that singing "as Gaeilge" might be what her girl-band needs to give them that extra edge, but it isn't as easy as it seems.
Casting for the new school play has begun. It's Romeo & Juliet, and Burno and Desree are each determined to get the lead roles and a chance to star opposite Tania and Paulie. Burno auditions with his own rap interpretation of the Shakespeare classic, but the final casting doesn't quite go according to plan.
Burno composes a new rap ringtone for his phone in an attempt to impress Tania. Desree and Avril discover how to make sure their phones are as deadly as everyone else's.
