The Dublin Theatre Festival was created as part of 'An Tostal', a cultural celebration designed to bring tourists to Ireland during the springtimes of the 1950s. Since then the festival has gained global renown and hosted many of the world's greatest plays and actors. On tonight's show we take a look at 50 years of the festival, its significance and impact. We also meet many of the people involved over the years. 'An Tostal' footage courtesy of The Irish Film Archive of the Irish Film Institute.
