The Film: Star Wars Episode I: Attack of the Clones
In 1977 George Lucas produced 'Star Wars', in 1980 he followed it with 'Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back' and in 1983 'Star Wars: Return of the Jedi'. In 1999 - some twenty years after what we thought was episode one - Lucas produced 'Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace'. The fifth film - 'Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones' is due to hit cinemas worldwide this weekend.

Dance: Merce Cunningham's 'Biped' and 'Summerspace'
The world's greatest living choreographer, 83-year-old Merce Cunningham opened the first ever International Dance Festival Ireland with performances of Biped and Summerspace at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.

A new book by highly respected French art critic, Cathering Millet reveals that for the past 30 years or so she has been a regular participant at swingers clubs and orgies. 'The Sexual Life of Catherine M' caused quite a stir when it was published in France last year and it comes to us now in translation.

The Performance: John Scott's Irish Modern Dance Theatre
