About the Show

The Smart Money is a new studio-based programme for anyone who is interested in the world of business and finance in Ireland and would like to know more about the fast-changing events that appear on the business bulletins and the business pages every day.

Presented by Richard Crowley it features expert analysis of the events of the business week at home and abroad, interviews with leading business figures and features on smart investments, entrepeneurial ideas and issues of concern to anyone with an interest in Ireland's economy and its future.

It airs each week on Saturday at 7.30pm on RTÉ Two, starting on Saturday April 4th. The first programme looks back at the significance of the G20 Summit in London, at the latest news on Irish Nationwide and at the forthcoming budget. It also features an interview with Padraig O'Ceidigh, chairman of Aer Arann and one of Ireland's most celebrated entrepeneurs as well as a feature on the wisdom, or otherwise, of investing in Gold.
