Paul Rankin was one of Ireland's first and best known TV chefs from series like "Gourmet Ireland." With his restaurant Roscoff, he was the first chef to win a Michelin Star in his native Northern Ireland. Since then, Paul has gone on to achieve TV fame appearing on TV shows such as Ready, Steady Cook, Masterchef, Food Poker, Take on The Take Away and Step up to the Plate, as well as presenting three series of The Rankin Challenge. He has written numerous cookery books and currently Paul runs his Belfast restaurant, Cayenne.
Paul has been a special guest critic at the 'The Restaurant' many times, most recently on "The Restaurant - 2 star Cook Off," a one hour special cook off programme, between TV presenter Mary Kennedy and actor Simon Delaney.
